An interesting article in the Buffalo News today about train travel, by Bob O’Connor. I think he misses some essence of train travel, but all in all he captures a great deal of the benefits of train travel, as an individual. My experiences with trains do not match his, perhaps Amtrak routes are different, nevertheless, I am not the defender of Amtrak, because Amtrak is not equal to train travel. It is all we have right now, but it can and should be improved. Check out his opinion article on train travel.
